Regular Season Round 11: Monaco - Paris-Levallois 83-98

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Monaco (9-2) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Paris-Levallois (6-5) 98-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Monaco. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 33-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Paris-Levallois dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Monaco's 36 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Louis Labeyrie (209-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and American-Azerbaijani forward Niklas Caner-Medley (203-83, college: Maryland, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Monaco. Five Paris-Levallois and four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paris-Levallois moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Monaco at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Paris-Levallois is looking forward to face Olympique Antibes (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monaco will play against JDA Dijon (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
