There was no surprise when 10th ranked Scauri (3-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Basket Barcellona (7-2) 78-71 on Sunday. Scauri was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Giacomo Sereni (202-84) chipped in 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest.
