Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Giulianova (4-6) was rolled over at home by third ranked Montegrano (8-1) 83-51 on Sunday. Montegrano dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Giulianova's 20. Montegrano had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Giorgio Broglia (198-86, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Montegrano players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Riccardo Rosa (-96) responded with 13 points and point guard Danilo Gallerini (185-80) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Montegrano moved-up to second place in B. Loser Giulianova dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Montegrano will face Ortona (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Giulianova will play against Senigallia and hope to win that game.
