Regular Season Round 20: Osorno - CDU Concepcion 84-80

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Universidad de Concepcion (9-7) was defeated on the road by second ranked Osorno Basquetbol (16-6) 84-80 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American center Yamene Coleman (208-86, college: Troy, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Rodrigo Munoz (186-80) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) produced 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and the former international center Patricio Briones (213-72, college: Miami Dade CC) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Four Osorno Basquetbol and five Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. Osorno Basquetbol have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having just one point less than leader Los Leones. Loser Universidad de Concepcion dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Osorno Basquetbol will face Deportivo Valdivia (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
