Regular Season Round 21: Chiba Jets - Hitachi SR 86-66

The game between Top Four teams took place in Chiba. Third ranked host Chiba Jets (14-7) smashed 3rd placed Hitachi Sunrockers (11-10) 86-66. The game was mostly controlled by Chiba Jets. Hitachi Sunrockers managed to win fourth quarter 21-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Kosuke Ishii (182-87) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) who recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American power forward R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Chiba Jets. They maintain third place with 14-7 record having four points less than leader SeaHorses which they share with defeated Hitachi Sunrockers. Loser Hitachi Sunrockers keep the third position with ten games lost. Chiba Jets will meet league's second-placed Sanen Neophoenix in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
