Regular Season Round 10: Wisla Can-Pack - AZS AJP GW 83-66

An interesting game for Wisla Can-Pack (9-1) which hosted in Krakow 3rd ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (7-3). First ranked Wisla Can-Pack had an easy win 83-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. Wisla Can-Pack made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski turnovers. Wisla Can-Pack looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Five Wisla Can-Pack players scored in double figures. Australian guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Paulina Misiek (182-87, agency: Promotex) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. Wisla Can-Pack have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with AZS UMCS. Wisla Can-Pack are looking forward to face Artego Bydg. (#6) in Bydgoszcz in the next round where they are favorite. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play at home against AZS UMCS and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
