Date: December 4, 2016
Bottom-ranked Ukrainian Avangard is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to sixth ranked Polish AZS UMCS (3-2) 71-39. The game was mostly controlled by AZS UMCS. Avangard was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Avangard to just 7 points in fourth quarter. AZS UMCS held Avangard to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.2 percent accuracy of the winners. AZS UMCS forced 25 Avangard turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Avangard helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ukrainian forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90) chipped in 16 points. Swingman Viktoriya Kondus (175-97) produced 7 points and 7 rebounds and guard Ievgeniia Spitkovska (174-88, agency: LBM Management) added 7 points respectively for the guests.
