The game in Bereldange supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Musel Pikes (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Residence (1-6). Musel Pikes smashed Residence 75-44. Musel Pikes dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Residence's 32. Musel Pikes forced 27 Residence turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Akilah Bethel (183-93, college: LSU) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import forward Brielle Ward (188, college: St.Francis, PA) supported her with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Five Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Abria Trice (185-92, college: E.Carolina, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Residence. International Julija Vujakovic (177-99) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Musel Pikes moved-up to third place, which they share with AB Contern. Residence at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Musel Pikes' next round opponent will be T71 Dudelange (#6) at home. Residence will play against Etzella in Ettelbruck and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
