An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kashiwa. Top-ranked JX-Eneos S. faced 4th ranked Chanson V-M. Host JX-Eneos S. (18-0) smashed guests from Shizuoka (12-6) 84-50. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Chanson V-M to just 7 points in second quarter. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Chanson V-M's 20. They outrebounded Chanson V-M 51-31 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX-Eneos S. made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. International point guard Asami Yoshida (165-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Saori Saitoguchisato (178-87) produced 19 points and guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-0 record. Chanson V-M lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. JX-Eneos S. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chanson V-M will play at home against Mitsubishi K. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
