Regular Season Round 4: Maccabi R.Gan - Bnot Hertzeliya 84-94

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Maccabi Ramat Gan (3-1) in Ramat Hen on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (3-1) 94-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Ramat Gan. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Bnot Hertzeliya shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and the other American import Tayler Hill (178-90, college: Ohio St.) who added 31 points and 6 assists (made all of her eleven free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Bria Holmes (185-94, college: W.Virginia) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. Bnot Hertzeliya have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi R.Gan. Bnot Hertzeliya is looking forward to face Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Ramat Gan will play against the league's leader Maccabi Ashdod (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
