No shocking result in a game when first ranked Estudiantes O. (9-3) crushed 5th ranked Huracan (5-8) in Trelew 75-54 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-54. It was a good game for Italian center Emilio Dominguez (202-87) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Diego Figueredo (185-91) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Estudiantes O. players scored in double figures. Estudiantes O.'s coach Gustavo Fernandez felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Shane Heyward (198-92, college: Columbus St.) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Huracan. Estudiantes O. have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-3 record. Huracan lost third consecutive game.
