Regular Season Round 9: Hap.Haifa - Ramat Hasharon 112-75

Ninth ranked Hap.Haifa (4-4) crushed at home 11th ranked Hasharon (3-6) by 37 points 112-75, which is the biggest margin this round. Hap.Haifa made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 21 long-distance shots on high 55.3 percentage. Hap.Haifa players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a good game for Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with 42 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Moti Moscovitz (204-85) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ariel Navon (180-97) added 17 points in the effort for Hasharon. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hap.Haifa moved-up to eighth place. Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Hap.Haifa's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hasharon will play against Hapoel Afula (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
