Very expected game in Tarshicha where 8th ranked Galil Elion (4-5) was defeated by third ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (6-3) 101-85. Hapoel Migd.H. forced 23 Galil Elion turnovers. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) contributed with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Hapoel Migd.H. players scored in double figures. Maxim Kikus (188-94) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Rom Geffen (190-94) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Galil Elion. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Migd.H. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hapoel K/S and Hapoel B/S. Galil Elion at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Hapoel Migd.H.'s next round opponent will be Ironi Nes-Ziona (#5) in Nes Ziyona. Galil Elion will play at home against Hasharon (#12) and hope to win that game.
