A very close game took place in Jiyuan between Henan and Shenyang Golden Lions. Fourth ranked Henan (12-6) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (9-9). Henan managed to escape with a 2-point win 89-87 on Tuesday evening. Henan made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Pinzhen Huang who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) who added 23 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Henan's coach Ming-Soo Park used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International forward Meng Li (185-95) responded with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) scored 29 points. Henan moved-up to third place in Group A. Shenyang Golden Lions lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Henan will meet Guangdong Dolphins (#6) in the next round. Shenyang Golden Lions will play against the league's leader Beijing Great Wall and hope to secure a win.
