Regular Season Round 15: Tianjin GL - Liaoning FL 116-126

There was no surprise in Tianjin where 14th ranked TianJin Steel (5-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Liaoning Hunters (11-4) 126-116 on Wednesday. Liaoning Hunters made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 TianJin Steel turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) helped adding 31 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 assists and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Liaoning Hunters maintains fifth place with 11-4 record, which they share with Shenzhen L. TianJin Steel lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Liaoning Hunters will face Beijing Ducks (#7) at home in the next round. TianJin Steel will play against the league's leader Shanghai Sharks (#1) and hope to win that game.
