Regular Season Round 16: Iskra Svit - Handlova 83-74

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Iskra Svit (8-8) beat at home 8th ranked Handlova (5-9) 83-74. Iskra Svit made 17-of-17 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) fired 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican point guard Javier Gonzalez (185-89, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Gonzalez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Montenegrin Ivan Zejak (203-87) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Serbian swingman Nemanja Gudzic (195-90) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iskra Svit moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Handlova keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Iskra Svit's next round opponent will be Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava. Handlova will play at home against Prievidza and hope to win that game.
