Very important is a road loss of first ranked Union SF (11-4) against seventh ranked Mitre Tuc. (3-10) on Wednesday night. Visiting Union SF was defeated by Mitre Tuc. in Tucuman 85-75. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Jose Muruaga (188-84) who added 20 points during the contest. Four Mitre Tuc. players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Fernando Podesta (205-92) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) scored 23 points. Union SF's coach Daniel Beltramo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mitre Tuc. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Independiente BBC and SP Las Parejas. Loser Union SF still keeps top position with four games lost. Mitre Tuc. will face higher ranked Salta Basket (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
