Regular Season Round 11: Olimpia - Tsmoki-Minsk 65-67

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Premier League took place in Grodno. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Olimpia GrGAU (6-2) to first ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (9-1) 67-65 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Olimpia GrGAU. Olimpia GrGAU was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 17-14 charge of Tsmoki-Minsk, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpia GrGAU to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ala Murauskaya (187-85) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. International point guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) helped adding 13 points. Forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Alena Holubeva (176-94) scored 12 points. Tsmoki-Minsk have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Olimpia GrGAU at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpia GrGAU will play at home against Sozh-GGU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
