Date: December 8, 2016
The game between 6th ranked Rotterdam (4-8) and seventh ranked Leeuwarden (4-8) in Rotterdam ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Leeuwarden outscored Rotterdam 100-77. The game was mostly controlled by Leeuwarden. Rotterdam was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Leeuwarden outrebounded Rotterdam 45-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international power forward Craig Osaikhwuwuomwan (211-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jordan Gregory (188-92, college: Montana) who added 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Leeuwarden players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard La'Shard Anderson (185-89, college: Boise St.) with 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leeuwarden moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Rotterdam. Leeuwarden will play against higher ranked Dukes UDB (#5) in Den Bosch in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rotterdam will play on the road against Weert and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
