There was an upset when higher ranked Roma Vis Nova (3-7) was defeated on the road by sixteenth ranked Viterbo SA (2-9) 77-68 on Thursday. Viterbo SA forced 19 Roma Vis Nova turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized Polish power forward Sandro Listwon (204-93) who scored 20 points. Swingman Riccardo Rovere (196-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Viterbo SA players scored in double figures. Viterbo SA's coach Umberto Fanciullo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Tommaso Rossetti (185-88) produced 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Viterbo SA moved-up to fourteenth place in B, which they share with Sestu. Newly promoted Roma Vis Nova dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Viterbo SA will face higher ranked Cefalu (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
