Regular Season Round 11: Angelico Biella - FCM Ferentino 100-80

Serie A2 top team - Angelico Biella (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked FCM Ferentino (6-5) 100-80. Angelico Biella dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to FCM Ferentino's 36. They outrebounded FCM Ferentino 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Angelico Biella looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. British forward Carl Wheatle (196-98) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Amedeo Tessitori (208-94) contributed with 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Angelico Biella's coach Michele Carrea allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Marcus Gilbert (198-93, college: Fairfield) answered with 23 points and the other American import swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) added 21 points in the effort for FCM Ferentino. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Angelico Biella maintains first place in A2 with 9-2 record. Loser FCM Ferentino dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Angelico Biella will face Scafati (#16) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. FCM Ferentino will play against Agrigento (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
