Regular Season Round 11: Teramo - Napoli Cuore 56-65

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Teramo (4-5) was defeated at home by first ranked Napoli Cuore (10-1) 65-56 on Thursday. Strangely Teramo outrebounded Napoli Cuore 47-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Stefan Nikolic (198-97) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Roberto Maggio (183-90) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Center Daniele Tomasello (205-93) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and guard Francesco Papa (196-95) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted Napoli Cuore maintains first place in B with 10-1 record. Teramo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Napoli Cuore will face Cassino (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Teramo will play against Maddaloni and hope to win that game.
