Very important is a road loss of second ranked Legnano (8-3) against twelfth ranked Latina Basket (5-6) on Thursday night. Visiting Legnano was defeated by Latina Basket in a tough game in Latina 85-90. Latina Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Legnano's players. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St.) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) accounted for 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 30 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and swingman Matteo Frassineti (197-87) added 17 points respectively for Legnano in the defeat. Latina Basket maintains twelfth place in A2 with 5-6 record. Loser Legnano keeps the second position with three games lost. Latina Basket will meet at home Viola RC (#14) in the next round. Legnano will play against Agropoli (#13) and hope to secure a win.
