Very important is a road loss of third ranked Quimsa (12-8) against ninth ranked Libertad Sunchales (8-12) on Thursday night. Visiting Quimsa was defeated by Libertad Sunchales in Sunchales 76-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quimsa. The game was mostly controlled by Libertad Sunchales. Quimsa was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Venezuelan forward Miguel Ruiz (197-90, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American guard Phillip Hopson (188-88, college: Idaho) replied with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Nicolas Romano (200-87) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quimsa. Five Libertad Sunchales and four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertad Sunchales moved-up to eighth place. Quimsa at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Regatas C.. Libertad Sunchales will play against league's second-placed Ferrocarril in Buenos Aires in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Quimsa will play on the road against the league's second-placed Estudiantes C. having rather not much hope for a victory.
