Regular Season Round 11: Rimini - Porto S.Elpidio 88-67

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Porto S.Elpidio (7-4) was rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Rimini (6-4) 88-67 on Thursday. Rimini dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Porto S.Elpidio's 18. The best player for the winners was point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Leonardo Battistini (194-95) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Fabio Lovatti (192-89) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Diego Torresi (200-92) added 9 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rimini maintains seventh place in B with 6-4 record. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Rimini will face higher ranked Bisceglie (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
