Regular Season Round 12: Unicaja B - Andujar 49-58

Rather expected game in Malaga where one of their biggest challengers Unicaja B (5-5) was defeated by second ranked Andujar (6-5) 58-49 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 34-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Andujar outrebounded Unicaja B 41-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Chadian center Edmond Koyanouba (207-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and center Antonio Garcia (202-86) who added 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Andujar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jose Luis Ibanez with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Morgan Stilma scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Andujar maintains second position in Group D-A with 6-5 record having just two points less than leader Chantada. Newly promoted Unicaja B dropped to the third place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
