We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked Isernia (4-7) edged at home 12th ranked Valdiceppo (3-7) 70-67 on Thursday. They outrebounded Valdiceppo 43-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. Isernia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (197-96) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marco Salari (184-96) chipped in 22 points and 9 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Isernia's coach Nino Sanfilippo used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Lorenzo Negrotti (192-87) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Matteo Orlandi (190-91) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Isernia moved-up to tenth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Reggio Emilia. Newly promoted Valdiceppo dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Isernia will face Monteroni (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Valdiceppo will play against Pescara and hope to win that game.
