Regular Season Round 11: Agrigento - Tortona 84-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tortona (7-4) against eleventh ranked Agrigento (5-6) on Thursday night. Visiting Tortona was defeated by Agrigento in Agrigento 84-70. It was a great evening for American swingman Perrin Buford (198-94, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Damen Bell-Holter (206-90, college: ORU) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Agrigento moved-up to ninth place in A2. Tortona at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Agrigento will play against higher ranked FCM Ferentino (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tortona will play against Novipiu Casale (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
