There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Scauri (4-6) beat at home 8th ranked Cefalu (4-6) 84-79 on Thursday. Scauri made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian swingman Santiago Boffelli (197-83) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Romanian center Victor Osmatescu (201-96) chipped in 14 points. Point guard Jordan Losi (182-80) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Argentinian point guard Emiliano Paparella (180-83, agency: Players Group) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Scauri moved-up to eighth place in B. Scauri will face Roma S.Azzurra (#10) on the road in the next round. Cefalu will play against Viterbo SA and hope to win that game.
