Regular Season Round 10: Albino - Carugate 52-43

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Albino (5-5) defeated at home 12th ranked Carugate (1-8) 52-43. It looked good early as Carugate took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Albino had a 17-8 second period charge getting the lead and Carugate was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 43-52. They outrebounded Carugate 45-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Emanuela Valente (185-97) supported her with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds by power forward Marta Scarsi (182-95) did not help to save the game for Carugate. Power forward Cecilia Albano (180-96) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Albino maintains eighth position in A2 with 5-5 record. Carugate at the other side keeps the twelfth place with eight games lost. Albino's next round opponent will be Virtus Cagliari (#10) at home. Carugate will play against Alghero and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
