Regular Season Round 11: Victoria - Tsmoki-Minsk 57-86

Premier League top team - Tsmoki-Minsk (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Victoria (3-6) in Grodno 86-57. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. Victoria was better in third quarter 24-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Victoria to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 28. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 19 Victoria turnovers. It was a quality performance for international point guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. International power forward Hanna Lapo (189-97) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) came up with 13 points and 4 assists and swingman Anhelina Kryshchyk (175-0) added 11 points respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Victoria's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tsmoki-Minsk. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Victoria at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria will play at home against Sozh-GGU (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
