No shocking result in a game in Uusikaupunki where seventh ranked Kouvot (6-8) defeated bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (4-11) 92-88. UU-Korihait was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Kouvot, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American guard Raheem Appleby (190-93, college: Louisiana Tech) who scored that evening 30 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) supported him with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Even 21 points and 6 assists by point guard Mikko Jalonen (186-82) did not help to save the game for UU-Korihait. Point guard Vesa-Pekka Laine (179-94) added 21 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lapua. UU-Korihait lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Kouvot will have a break next round. UU-Korihait will play at home against Kauhajoen Karhu (#4) and hope to win that game.
