Very expected game in Beijing where 16th ranked North Control (3-12) was defeated by sixth ranked Leopards (11-4) 117-99 on Friday. Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to North Control's 60. Leopards forced 19 North Control turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. North Control was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) with 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Uruguayan-Spanish power forward Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Leopards and four North Control players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leopards moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Liaoning H. North Control lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Leopards will face league's second-placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. North Control will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#8) in Changchun and hope to win that game.
