Regular Season Round 10: Asseco - Stal Ostrow 68-76

There was a minor upset in Gdynia where higher ranked Asseco (5-6) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (5-6) 76-68. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s coach Emil Rajkovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (178-84) added 19 points in the effort for Asseco. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Asseco. Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s next round opponent will be bottom-ranked TBV Start (#17) in Lublin where they are favorite.
