The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Dacin Tigers as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Fubon Braves) loss. Dacin Tigers defeated 7th ranked Bank of Taiwan at home 80-73. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Chih-Wei Wu (182-87) accounted for 24 points. Guard Wei-Chen Liu (190-88) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) added 12 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Bank of Taiwan in the defeat. Four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dacin Tigers (9-3) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Fubon Braves. Bank of Taiwan lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play next round against strong Fubon Braves trying to get back on the winning streak. Dacin Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Yulon Luxgen at home.
