Regular Season Round 12: Dijon - Monaco 58-84
Date: December 9, 2016
ProA top team - Monaco (10-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked JDA Dijon (4-8) 84-58. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Monaco outrebounded JDA Dijon 37-19 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The winners were led by American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored that evening 16 points and 6 assists and power forward Bangaly Fofana (213-89) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Even 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by American guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple) did not help to save the game for JDA Dijon. The former international point guard Axel Julien (184-92) added 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Monaco maintains first position with 10-2 record. JDA Dijon lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Antibes and Orleans. Monaco will play against Strasbourg IG (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. JDA Dijon will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
