Regular Season Round 16: Independiente BBC - Union SF 98-101

Fifth-ranked Independiente BBC (3-10) gave a tough game to first ranked Union SF (11-4) on Friday. The visitors from Santa Fe managed to secure only three-point victory 101-98. However their fans expected much easier game. Swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Power forward Miguel Isola (197-83) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Julian Aprea (209-87) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Juan Angel Lopez (190-84, agency: DTMones) added 27 points respectively for lost side. Five Union SF and four Independiente BBC players scored in double figures. Union SF maintains first position with 11-4 record. Independiente BBC lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Mitre Tuc. and SP Las Parejas. Union SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Independiente BBC will play against Sportivo (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
