Regular Season Round 15: GET Vosges - St Vallier 86-68

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Saint Vallier (9-6) against seventh ranked GET Vosges (9-6) on Friday night. Visiting Saint Vallier was defeated by GET Vosges in Golbey 86-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Saint Vallier. The game was mostly controlled by GET Vosges. Saint Vallier was better in second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. GET Vosges brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Kaiser) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four GET Vosges players scored in double figures. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Omar Strong (175-90, college: Texas Southern) who recorded 23 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. GET Vosges have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Caen and St Vallier. GET Vosges' next round opponent will be Union Rennes (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Saint Vallier will play against the league's leader Quimper UJAP (#1) and hope to win that game.
