An interesting game for Empoli (9-2) which hosted in Empoli 3rd placed Team Crema (7-4). Second ranked Empoli managed to get a 6-point victory 63-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Team Crema. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 29-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Empoli forced 19 Team Crema turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Czech center Klara Pochobradska (186-89) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Francesca Rosellini (176-90) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Team Crema players scored in double figures. Empoli maintains second place with 9-2 record behind leader Bologna. Loser Team Crema keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Scrivia and Civitanova. Empoli will meet Virtus Cagliari (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Team Crema will play against Alghero (#14) and hope to secure a win.
