Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Cagliari CUS (1-9) was outscored on the road by seventh ranked Scrivia (7-4) 63-38 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 63-38. Scrivia dominated on the defensive end, holding Cagliari CUS to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters and to 14 points in second half. Scrivia forced 20 Cagliari CUS turnovers. Center Clara Salvini (180-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Guard Silvia Gabba (170-82) contributed with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Scrivia moved-up to third place, which they share with Crema and Civitanova. Cagliari CUS lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Scrivia will face Milano (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cagliari CUS will play against the league's leader Sesto SG (#1) in Sesto San Giovanni and hope to win that game.
