Second ranked Gorizont blasted bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-10) in Brest 100-41 on Saturday evening. BrGU COR Victoria is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to BrGU COR Victoria's 32. Gorizont forced 20 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorizont looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BrGU COR Victoria's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Yuliya Rytsikava (181-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Aleksandra Chyzhevskaya (178-2) with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Khrystina Batsanova (165-96) scored 13 points. BrGU COR Victoria's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Gorizont have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion (9-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Loser BrGU COR Victoria still closes the standings with ten games lost. Gorizont will meet at home Olimpia GrGAU (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BrGU COR Victoria will play against Olimpia GrGAU (#3) in Grodno and hopes to get finally their first victory.
