Regular Season Round 12: Andujar - Medacbasket 62-81

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Medacbasket (4-6) outscored on the road second-best Andujar (6-5) 81-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Medacbasket. Andujar was better in second period 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Medacbasket forced 20 Andujar turnovers. Strangely Andujar outrebounded Medacbasket 44-29 including 21 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Taylor Cameron (196-91, college: Winona St.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Pablo Ibanez (198-93) who added 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward David Suka-Umu (197-77) with 17 points and center Antonio Garcia (202-86) scored 6 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Medacbasket moved-up to sixth place in Group D-A, which they share with Coin and Cazorla. Loser Andujar keeps the second position with five games lost. Medacbasket will face league's leader CAM E.Soler in Melilla in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
