Regular Season Round 12: Moron - Alcazar 72-60

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Moron (6-6) won against 7th ranked Alcazar (6-6) in Morón de la Frontera 72-60. The game was mostly controlled by Moron. Alcazar was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) who recorded 20 points and forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Moron moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Alcazar. Moron's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Gandia (#16) on the road and are hoping to win another game.
