Rather expected game in Hiroshima where 5th ranked Bambitious Nara (6-15) was defeated by third ranked Dragonflies (16-5) 86-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 32-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Dragonflies made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies moved-up to second place, which they share with Shimane SM. Bambitious Nara lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Dragonflies will face again Bambitious Nara (#5) at home in the next round.
