Regular Season Round 9: Mogi - B.Cearense 92-75
Date: December 10, 2016
Very predictable result in Mogi das Cruzes where fifth ranked Mogi (4-2) beat 10th ranked SKY/Basquete (3-4) 92-75. Mogi players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by SKY/Basquete's players. The former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) nailed 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side and naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 18 points. Four Mogi players scored in double figures. Mogi's coach Jorge Guerra allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) came up with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Rashaun McLemore (193-86, college: CS Northridge) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for SKY/Basquete in the defeat. Mogi have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory Mogi went down to sixth position due to points difference. SKY/Basquete at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. Mogi's next round opponent will be Minas (#12) in Belo Horizonte which should be theoretically an easy game. SKY/Basquete will play at home against Paschoalotto/Bauru and hope to win that game.
