Regular Season Round 12: Cassino - Napoli Cuore 82-86

Very expected game when 6th ranked Cassino (7-5) lost at home to first ranked Napoli Cuore (12-1) 86-82 on Saturday. Napoli Cuore made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Cassino was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Bosnian-Serbian forward Njegos Visnjic (199-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Forward Mattia Mastroianni (200-94, agency: Players Group) contributed with 13 points for the winners. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and Maurizio Del Testa (188-89) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Cassino. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Napoli Cuore maintains first position in B with 12-1 record. Loser Cassino keeps the sixth place with five games lost. Napoli Cuore will face league's second-placed Valmontone at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cassino will play against Catanzaro (#12) and hope to win that game.
