No shocking result in a game in Zizur Mayor where second ranked Ardoi (8-2) won against 11th ranked Zarautz Ulacia (3-7) 66-61 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Ardoi forced 22 Zarautz Ulacia turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Nicolas Uriz (183-96) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Julen Egana (190-96) with 13 points and guard Unai Eizaguirre (182-88) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ardoi maintains second position in Group A-A with 8-2 record behind leader Chantada, which they share with Easo. Zarautz Ulacia lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Ardoi will face Mondragon (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Zarautz Ulacia will play against Burgos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
