Fourth-ranked C.Adelantados (6-4) made lots of trouble for first ranked Leganes (10-1) on Saturday. Leganes managed to secure only one-point victory 73-72. However their fans expected easier game. Leganes forced 23 C.Adelantados turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Paula Justel (186-92) who scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Maria Espin (180-89) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. Four Leganes players scored in double figures. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Tyonna Outland (173-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Leganes have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. C.Adelantados at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Arxil Pontev. and Cortegada. Leganes are looking forward to face Valencia (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. C.Adelantados will play against Antiguo Boscos (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
