Regular Season Round 12: Venta de Banos - Valle de Egues 68-76

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Valle de Egues (5-5) beat on the road 15th ranked Venta de Banos (1-9) 76-68 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Venta de Banos won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valle de Egues shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Javier Valderrey who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists and Riquis Reynoso who added 7 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Valle de Egues players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Estonian Robert Valge (192-97) with 27 points and guard Daniel Manchon (191-98) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Venta de Banos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Valle de Egues moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A. Venta de Banos lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Valle de Egues will face higher ranked Santurtzi (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Venta de Banos will play against Univ.Burgos (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
