Regular Season Round 11: Adareva - Olimpico 64 65-43

No shocking result in a game in SC Laguna where seventh ranked Adareva (7-4) smashed bottom-ranked Olimpico 64 (0-11) 65-43 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Adareva. Olimpico 64 was better in third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpico 64 to just 5 points in second quarter. Adareva held Olimpico 64 to an opponent 19.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Olimpico 64 50-33 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian swingman Anma Onyeuku (181-91, college: Hofstra) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Ty'Desheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Katia Javier (182-93) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Esther Molinero (165-93) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Adareva. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams. Olimpico 64 lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Adareva will face Promete (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Olimpico 64 will play against Batalyaws (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
